This lovely and romantic styled shoot was inspired by the wonderous Renoir painting ‘Spring Bouquet’ from 1866, which is described as: “A riot of flowers cascades from a Japanese willow pattern vase that sits on worn paving stones, the petals and leaves bright with the warmth of the sun.”
For this Renoir-inspired wedding in Lake Wales, Florida, the photographer, Emma Christine Creative, the desired outcome was to “evoke imagination and a feeling of organic freedom by merging traditional French elements with modern whimsy.”
Although located in Lake Wales, Florida, Bella Cosa Lakeside Lodge & Venue’s imposing, textured stone walls and graceful arches transport one to the countryside of Southern France. The live grand oak tree and its elegant moss near the 600-foot lakefront shoreline is perhaps the only element that gives away its central Florida locale. The charming invitation suite, handmade by Of Light and Letters, plays a starring role in the brilliantly curated flat-lay, layered with soft blues, whites, lush flowers, and vintage details, setting the tone for an unforgettable affair.
The couple said their vows on the stately front terrace, softly framed by ivy climbing its way up the stone walls of the estate. Guests are welcomed into the reception by tassel escort cards hanging on a custom display from KLM Calligraphy. A luscious two-tiered, creamy, white-frosted cake adorned with florals on full display by Sweet Clementine teases sweet post-nuptial thoughts. Following the ceremony, the Bride and Groom started the festivities with a cheerful champagne tower and bubbly toast before being seated at one of three unique tablescapes overlooking the lake.
This inspirational shoot further showcases the timeless beauty of ivory bouquets bursting with anemones, roses, and ranunculus. The bride donned an exquisite Charlene Gown by Delana Muse with delicate and intricately appliqued petal-shaped lace on the bodice and billowy lantern sleeves, complemented by the light and airy A-line skirt. Dusty blue ribbons, provincial patterns, and gold accents visually heightened the romantic feel, while florist, Meredith Tomblin of Spring Vine Orlando, added the perfect amount of modern whimsy by playing with the floral texture in her signature asymmetrical designs.
Event planner and designer Angelina from the Apostolic Wife coordinated this beautiful marriage of new and old to play throughout each element. From the lining of the custom invitation suite to the stylish bridal shoes from Bella Belle to the gold-rimmed glassware and gorgeous table settings from Oak & Ash Events to the refined gold Louis French Chairs from Kate Ryan Event Rentals. Hair and Makeup by Stephanie Paul of SMP Makeup Artistry ensured the bride and groom in A Renoir-inspired wedding in Lake Wales, Florida, glowed as beautifully as a Southern France sunset.
