Eloise and Sam’s Rushmere Farm Workshops wedding in Hampshire was smashing! They had a relaxed festival vibe day, with wildflowers and gorgeous outfits featuring pinks and blues.
The barns were decked out in lovely rustic decor, with wooden elements and even a flower wall backdrop. Then there was the semi naked victoria sponge cake and of course, Eloise’s stunning gown. Keep your eyes peeled for pretty bouquets and all the fun!
A big thank you to Jason Williams Photography for sharing these marvelous joy-filled images. Enjoy.
Rushmere Farm Workshops Wedding
The Proposal
Sam asked me whilst we were on holiday in Dorset, on the cliff above Durdle Door. Totally unexpected, with a beautiful ring. He had already asked my Dad’s permission and planned the whole thing without me knowing.
Passers-by cheered and we managed to get it on video, as Sam said he was trying to take a nice pic of us.
The Vision
A really relaxed party affair as we had officially got married a few months before as the venue wasn’t licensed.
For all our family and friends to feel how much love we have for each other and to celebrate that all day together.
Budget
£12,000
The Venue
Rushmere Farm Workshops in Hambeldon, Hampshire.
Your Outfits
My wedding dress was bought online from a fashion retailer, however, my amazing mum made lots of alterations to it to make it unique.
She added a more billowing underskirt with a slight train and made it fit like a dream.
Sam wore a Moss Bros 3-piece in light blue with pink socks.
The Ceremony & Music
We had a close friend conduct our ceremony who did the most amazing job. It was full of personal stories of our journey together, with laughter and tears from us both. We then wrote our own vows and gave our rings in front of our guests.
It was personal, touching and really reflected who we are and what we stand for. It was the best decision we made not to use a registered celebrant.
We had a playlist for the day of all our favourite tracks, but I surprised Sam with a saxophonist, who played just after we walked down the aisle.
We had a band for the evening, who were amazing and once they had finished their set they organised our playlist to finish off the night with so much dancing and laughter!
Your Photographer & Filmmaker
We were recommended Jason Williams by a friend who had used him for their wedding. I had already made some enquiries but not found the one until I chatted with Jason. He was warm and friendly and we felt at ease with him from the beginning. He really understood our brief and fitted into the wedding party like he was family!
The pictures are more than we could have wished for and love every single one of them!
The Styling & Decor
My cousin made our cake, 3 tiers of Victoria sponge with jam and butter cream. We have frozen some to enjoy again and again. It was a ‘naked’ cake surrounded by wildflowers.
My friend’s business, Blooming Beautiful Backdrops gave me a gorgeous flower wall with a neon sign and flower hoop to decorate the back wall behind the top table. Other decorations were done by my mum and my team of helpers, bunting and lanterns, tea lights and vases.
The flowers were created by Mrs Bouquet Wedding and Event Flowers. I had the most gorgeous bouquet which was beyond my expectations, it was colourful and full of wildflowers. As were the bud vases on each table and the cake table, they were dotted around everywhere.
She also styled the aisle with white flowers and had a flower arch over the barn entrance.
The Honeymoon
We visited Acro Suits in Crete the Monday after the wedding, knowing our 2 children were being looked after we were totally relaxed and enjoyed the time together.
The hotel was unreal, the service, the décor, the views and the food… out of this world!
Memorable Moments
The whole thing was more than I ever could have expected. But I will never forget the feeling of standing in front of my husband, telling him and all our closest people what he means to me and our family.
The food! A stand-out part due to how delicious it all was. Service was fantastic and everyone raved about the stone-baked pizzas in the evening.
